What makes Thai food and dining special?
Thai
people share dishes "family style", with most food already cut into
bite-sized pieces. Thai food is a unique blend of South East Asia's
many flavours, incorporating the spiciness of Szechuan cookery, the
creamy coconut sauces of Southern India and the tropical flavours of
Malasyan.
Thais then add an abundance of fresh ingredients, aromatic spices
and herbs and a vast array of chilies.
The result is like a "Cuisine Minceur" of the Orient, with small portions of lean meat, poultry and seafood mixed with plenty of fresh vegetables and salads.
Thai food is lightly cooked so it is crisp, colourful, sharply
flavoured and nutritious.
